Nice strategy: a walkthrough of selected html5 services exercised in a sample application.

Kyle quickly dove into useful examples of various HTML5 JS APIs using concrete examples. Even though some aspects were over my head - specifically canvas - I felt the format and lesson were useful and certainly worth my time. The pizza was an unexpected plus.

Paul was a good speaker and provided lots of code examples and demos. The people attending asked many good questions, too, to enhance the total learning experience.

This was just what I needed. Gave insight, workflow and best practices for rapid prototyping. Answered, addressed and gave great tools for making responsive Web Apps for all mobile devices. Wonderful. Thank you! PS I just ran my first test of foundation on a small site I had to build- it's very easy to use and it is nice to be able to rapidly prototype this way and test it on different devices. In 8 hours I had a fully working prototype that works on everything I can get my hands on. Nice.

I guess I was hoping for more of a code walk through instead of top level overview. I liked the debugging session though.

James gave a great overview of the challenges, limitations, and possibilities of the current mobile development landscape. Along with some brief case studies, a nice exploration of the larger picture and thoughts on where to go next.

Time to go deeper. We all have the HTML5 Roundup under our belts, we're professionals in this arena- James' is a huge knowledgebase and a very good speaker. So open up and get down into doing deep & dirtyl clever stuff in HTML5, for the group that is already doing deep stuff in this realm ! No more roundup talks pls. Want a subject ? Do a whole small app using a Websocket implementation... get into it !

Very engaging and humorous. Some of the graphs held striking insights--but weren't easy to commit to memory. Are any of the slides posted?

I enjoyed the talk. It was full of very valuable information... and I appreciate that! --it's very tiring to hear opinions with no data.

Great talk - tons of good demos, and Faruk was a great speaker. Handled Q&A at the end very well too. Highly recommended for anyone who gives a damn about pushing their site forward while catering for as many of their visitors as they can.

    - The wireless microphone was flakey and it was hard to hear sometimes and the rest of the time it was annoying to have the volume go up and down randomly. - The speaker never repeated audience questions so it was difficult to understand some of the answers. - Name of the product, "Modernizr" is misleading because it doesn't modernize anything. I was expecting to hear about something much more useful, something that truly adds HTML5 features, such as the Google Chrome Plug-In for IE does. - Nobody ever checked my registration so I suspect I was not elegible for the drawings.
