About the Talk
This talk will cover the latest news in the exciting HTML5 feature area of Real-Time and Connectivity. There is a lot of new stuff to talk about when it comes to the related HTML5 APIs and protocols. For example, the official RFC (RFC 6455) for the WebSocket protocol was recently published and it has changed significantly since its earlier protocol drafts.
Join SFHTML5's own Peter Lubbers as he takes an in-depth look at WebSocket, Server-Sent Events, XMLHTTPRequest Level 2, Cross Document Messaging, and related standards like CORS and SPDY. These HTML5 features will allow you to easily build kick-ass web applications with unparalleled functionality, speed, and responsiveness. Pay attention and you might even win a signed copy of Peter's latest edition of Pro HTML5 Programming.

Is Peter going to cover WebRTC <http://www.webrtc...;
as well?
Hi Jerome, No, but Paul Kinlan covered that in his recent presentation on New Media.
It's full:( can't we have bigger room?!?
@David We're working on getting bigger spaces for our events. In the meantime, check back on your status closer to the event to see if space has freed up.
Have fun kids. Be sure to post the webcast and user comments/tweets, if any.
Will there be a webcast?
This event will be recorded but not streamed live.
Thank you. Does that mean it will be possible to view it later? Popular event tonight!! I'm sorry I didn't get on the list early.
Not feeling too well today. Giving up my spot to someone on the wait list.
Is there a good place to safely park bikes there? Inside the Stackmob HQ would be ideal of course ;)
Has Peter started yet?
@Jim Yes, Peter started about 10 minutes ago.
